For some people getting your picture taken is really stressful, and I totally understand! It can be uncomfortable if you aren’t used to doing it all the time. Here are my top 3 tips for when you are going to be stepping in front of a professional camera: #1 Relax and Have Fun! Remember to breathe and relax during the photoshoot. Try to enjoy the experience and let your personality shine through in your expressions and body language. Sometimes, the best photos come from candid moments when you’re genuinely enjoying yourself! So, embrace the moment, smile naturally, and allow yourself to have fun in front of the camera. #2 Plan Your Outfit: Choose clothing that makes you feel confident and comfortable! Also, ensure that your outfit is clean, wrinkle-free, and fits you properly. Consider the background of the photoshoot location or background color and choose colors that complement it without blending in too much. And always bring options, it’s better to have too many options instead of not enough! #3 Practice Posing: I always tell my clients to spend some time practicing different poses in front of a mirror to see which angles flatter you the most. Relax your shoulders, stand up straight, and experiment with slight angles of your body and face to find what looks most natural and appealing.
